Inside Life (2010)

Men's Issues / 48m / Feature / Documentary

Synopsis

Inside Life, is a ground breaking documentary about the healing journey of 5 young men in prison in South Africa. Filmed over 5 years, the inmates act in Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. They reflect on the relevance of the play's themes to their reality. They also participate in creative writing, filmmaking and scriptwriting programmes offered by 2 non-profit organisations. They speak frankly about their life. The fly-on-the-wall expose reveals the gentler side to men in prison, as they explore their potential, and consider inherently transformational power of the arts in the rehabilitation process.
