"Immigration Stories from across Scotland and Beyond" was hosted at AiM 2013 in partnership with Document film festival. AiM and Document invited immigrants from all over the world to submit their immigration stories on film. Bringing together many of these films, the programme was curated thematically and included panel discussions facilitated by NGOs working with refugees in Glasgow. The event aimed to give immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers and people from diaspora communities living in Scotland, the opportunity to share their stories and experiences of their lives in this country.
Document is the only dedicated international human rights documentary film festival in Scotland, a grassroots initiative that aims to use film as an advocacy tool to raise the profile and promote debate of human rights & social issues across the globe.
