Fluorescent Sin is set to be part of an international feature film - CollabFeature. The project is collaborative, specifically with respect to the script writing and involves 50 other filmmakers from around the world who have all been commissioned to direct 2 minute segments that will make up the feature length film. Fluorescent Sin is the director's (stand alone) cut.
At Nairobi's iconic central station, a lithe, majestic drag queen sits on a bench, lightly crying, smoking a cigarette, and descending into a breakdown through a poetic soliloquy. Tajdin challenges our ideas of beauty, sexuality, and Kenyan attitudes to 'otherness', suggesting that being caught between two places might not be a bad thing.
