The Cajon was created by slaves who did not have their own natural instruments, and since the 16th century it has been introduced into the diverse types of Peruvian coastal music. As well as influencing music, African slaves also supported the economic development of Peru with their manpower and knowledge. This film is dedicated to the marginalised and forgotten people who were uprooted from their native countries. They are still waiting to receive recognition for their contribution to Peruvian society.
